The Best Practices Program showcases the best of college and university business officers' efforts in creating better, more efficient, and customer friendly business practices. Past submissions have showcased a wide variety of unique programs improving the operations of the college campus. The following institutions were the five finalists, and presented their “Best Practices” in Asheville, NC at SACUBO's 2016 annual meeting:
Combining Campus Mail Services to Deliver Better Results, University of Alabama
Enhancing KCTCS Procurement and Supplier Diversity Efforts, Kentucky Community and Technical College System
Entering the Digital World-Electronic Workflow Best Practices, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
Streamlining Utility Billing Analysis and Reporting, University of Texas San Antonio
Where’s my Bus, University of Georgia
College and university officers who wished to compete in the 2017 competition submitted their Best Practice Proposal by November 4, 2016. Five finalists will be selected from the 2017 competition to showcase their "Best Practice" at the SACUBO Annual Meeting to be held April 30-May 2 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The institution with the overall "best practice" will receive an honorarium of $1,500. Runners-up will receive $750.
